Hello, welcome to my book blog. I would be posting various awesome books that I read everyday and tell you what I think about them. In between them, you would read about my everyday lifestyle and my obsession with beautiful romance, happily ever-after with a little bit of dark in them.Enjoy!
I went for a run this morning and I decided to opt for a story run instead of music and it was surprisingly good😳😳….imagine how shocked I was to find out that the music and story line made me even forget I was running and I wasn’t getting tired any soon. This brings me back to audio books. I’ve never tried it honestly and personally, I think I would hate it…but I would never know if I like it if I don’t try right?
Now before you try to tell me of the reasons why it’s good, you should read some of mine😁😊
1. I love my sleep as much as I would love an interesting book but come on, I would sleep to hearing someone constantly harping in my ears about this and that😒🙄….I consider it an epic fail to sleep on a book. It’s either the author or the reader didn’t do something right….and it’s definitely not me🤐😁😏
2. So I like to put my imagination to play….what gives? This reminds me of when I first read “50 shades of Grey” my oh my!😁 my imagination sure danced around. Imagine my disappointment when the movie came out😫…Grey wasn’t supposed to look like that in my head but he did and I chose my imagination to the movie instead. So if my imagination wants a particular tone of voice to go with a character in the book and the audio gives me another, my interest in the book evaporates🙋🏾
3 So if I’m not a fan of porn but like to read it…how would I cope? And Yes we exist😁…color me weird but I prefer reading the scenes to visuals… my imagination once again takes first place in a book. I don’t want to hear no woman or man moaning, my head is doing it for me….thank you!
Audio Books are “the bomb” for most people..this is just a view from a personal angle. You love it then make sure you give me a good reason why you do….😊
I felt giddy with excitement mid-way into this book… At the beginning, I took my time carefully trying to understand it’s plot and twists instead of skimming to the best part like I’m always guilty of doing😁….
Roar!…I like to give it an exclamation mark because that’s how I say it in my head😊😊😊…. the name was indeed befitting for the book and the heroine…I’ve never been a fan of YA fantasy but ROAR by Cora Carmack just changed by mind. I’m 100% in love with the book and for once I kinda hate the fact that it has a second part to the story. Sadly, it is expected in 2018 but not withstanding, I think everyone should read Roar!….
I loved the fact that the book put natural elements of weather into good imaginative use. I mean, imagine a storm or lightning had a heart or soul that you could relate to and control it. That is what Aurora who changed her name to Roar! could do when she left her castle and mother behind. Being in a castle where everyone was gifted with magic except you could be disheartening but not Aurora…she left to join the hunters and together they found out that Roar! was indeed “unnatural”….
I can’t wait for RAGE! The second part of this book to find out if indeed Roar! has enough RAGE in herself to defeat those wanting to conquer her kingdom and keep balance between the storm hearts and the Earth.
Who else finds this book amazing like I do?
I’ve always liked instagram photos of hardcovers stacked in a full library bursting full and the feel of the books within your reach but I find myself bending towards ebooks. I carry my tab or phone everywhere I go and immediately I get bored.. Viola!A book pops out in disguise of a phone or tab*inserts grin* and no one would feel I’m being rude because they wouldn’t know I’m reading until they get close. With a hardcover though, everyone gets to see I’m with a book. I’m a Nigerian and getting recent books here especially since I’m not in a huge meteropolis like Lagos could be so hard but Amazon and other ebooks sites save the day as I could simply purchase my Ebook and read. Personally, I’d choose an Ebook any day as long as my battery is charged full and my library is updated.Seeing books stacked in a library always leaves me thrilled and giddy. I’m almost certain I’ve mastered the smell of books stacked up in a shelf*lol*…..Books are meant to be savored page by page, paragraph by paragraph and appreciated with its extricate design with the feel of hands. Before I get ahead of myself, I secretly appreciate paper books and any bibliophile out there who stacks them in their natural form*grins*.
Do you prefer Ebooks or paper? Let me know what you think.
